The Model 334H Optical Gate is designed and manufactured by Automatic Systems. This unique, fully motorized, bi-directional pedestrian gate is designed to accommodate the handicapped, individuals with carts, or other authorized users requiring a wider walkway. The 334H can be used in conjunction with any Model 470 or 490 series traditional waist height turnstile configuration, where a 36” wide ADA compliant walkway is required. The 334H is bi-directional, which means the gate swings 90º in both directions always opening away from the direction of travel. The 334H gate is an effective deterrent to an UN-authorized entry when in the closed locked position. In the open position, the security gate is completely recessed into the cabinet, which provides a comfortable walkway, as well as 36 inches of safety egress. The gate operates fail-safe, which automatically rotates the gate to the open position during a power failure or fire alarm.
The design includes a highly rigid self-supporting frame; integrating the electromechanical assembly, which utilizes an advanced system of an AC–motor with a frequency drive. Sensors include: actuation, blocking, tracking, and safety sensors. All of which are synchronized through the use of a Programmable Logic Controller.
Hinge-mounted key-locked cabinet panels can be opened to a 90º angle to allow easy access to both the electro-mechanical drive and to the electronic control units. End unit access panels are removable for enhanced servicing requirements. In addition, general cleaning and maintenance are minimal. Advanced computer diagnostics is the cornerstone of the design.
